Who We Are

David and Andrea

Well we are David & Andrea Lee and I’m sure it is indeed a mystery to some of you how we came to be living in Spain, but now to be on the point of leaving for a spell in Africa? Yes, our present home is in Javea on the Costa Blanca; a great place to live, but perhaps rather too comfortable?

We moved here two years ago, after a period in France, largely because we were looking for an English- speaking church in which to grow spiritually and on a winter trip to Spain we found Javea International Baptist Church  (see under links)

At JIBC our interest in the mission field was kindled and we felt God was calling us to serve in Africa. One of the mission activities which JIBC supports is ACACIA and when Graham and Sarah Giles came to Javea on furlough in 2008, we knew this was to be our direction. Graham and Sarah have worked alongside the Newfrontiers Church in Southern Africa for several years, building churches and developing education initiatives (see Abantwana Bethemba page)

In July this year we joined Graham and Sarah at our first Newfrontiers Leadership Conference in Brighton and what an amazing experience it was too!

And so what do we have to offer Africa? Those of you family and friends, who have known us for a number of years will recall how passionate we are about producing our own food and the several smallholdings and farm which we have developed over many years. Now we have been given the opportunity to assist others to do this in a community where there is a really serious need.
